Thanks for visiting our website for the Swinging Bridge Campground. Located just 2 hours or 100 miles away from New York City, the campground sits on the beautiful Swinging Bridge Reservoir. This lake is treasured by locals for its many unique assets.

The Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest body of water open to public use at such proximity to the city. It is 9 miles long, and more than 100 feet deep.

Recreation opportunities on this lake are endless. Enjoy the 889 acre lake for motorboating, jet-skiing,  water-skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, and swimming. The fishing is some of the best in the state. With over 16 different species of fish, the Swinging Bridge Reservoir is known throughout the state as being one of the best walleye fisheries.

The campground hosts an open swimming pool with a large pool deck used for tanning and lounging. There is a kids’ sandbox and ping-pong table. A lawn near the pool is frequently used for sports such as badminton, volleyball, and soccer.

The floating docks provide the utmost convenience for accessing the reservoir; and parking for boats is available for a seasonal fee.

Trails throughout the semi-coniferous forest of the campground provide for excellent mushroom-picking, berry-picking, as well as mountain biking opportunities.
